If there’s any justice in the music industry (which there, unfortunately, seems not to be seeing as Justin Beiber has a career), then 2015 will be a very successful year for Nuborg. A songwriter who matches simple ideas to complex structures to create really impressive songs that are unique to all her contemporaries, Nuborg deserves to turn heads with her new album.
The title track (above) is a great example of what she’s about and while of course it won’t be to everyone’s tastes, it’s beautiful work that deserves to be heard around the world. Slow, considered and high in sumptuousness (it’s a word), these nine tracks are a great showcase for her talent.
Speaking of showcases, for the first time ever Nuborg is gigging in the UK next week (January 22nd) at The Islington in London. If there’s any chance you can get along, do it – you won’t regret it, especially if you’re one of the many who will appreciate the intricacies of the song above.
